Kratom plants are actually fast-growing trees that produce large leaves even as seedlings. Kratom is an herb with an unusual history of being described as both a stimulant and depressant while at the same time posessing the chemical structure one might expect of a psychedelic. But, Kratom plants are an easy plant to grow (See this How to Grow Kratom article), and the rewards are many. In Thailand, they say it used to help get the workers through the day as it calms the mind, but that is also provided needed energy to accomplish any task that needed accomplishing. It was also regarded as a much "classier" alternative to marijuana until it was made illegal and punishable by death in its native country. (We are only quoting a source, and do not make any attempt at comparing this plant to an illegal plant whatsoever). These Kratom Plants take a little time to prepare for shipping, so please allow 1-2 weeks for delivery. We only ship on Mondays and Tuesdays as well, to ensure the plant will never sit over a weekend. They're in 4" pots, usually with multiple branches or "limbs" already grown or forming, they're already well rooted and growing quite vigorously. The rifat strain is the "rock star" of Kratom plants in the community who know Kratom. Also known as "Red Vein," it's been the strain that has been most sought after throughout the world for what most perceived as being a stronger, more consistent, and reliable strain of Kratom plants. And now, recent tests have confirmed the presence of mitragynine, as well as the other constituents known to occur in this species. Since we've been offering these Kratom plants for years, you will never have to be in doubt about whether or not what you have is a true Mitragyna speciosa.
The plants are grown under very bright light, and will be still vigorously growing when sent directly to you from our Kratom grower in the Midwest.To ensure the best possible survival rate, don't be afraid to give these Kratom plants 24 hours of sunlight, under the glare of flourescent lights that are placed very close to the plants. Remember that Kratom plants are tropical plants, and can never get too much sunlight. The following is an excerpt from the Murple article on the subject of Kratom: "The Robert Rifat Clone was originally grown in research from seed collected from a research institution in Thailand by the Swiss scientist Claude Rifat. The parent plant has been used in several research studies, and presumably is the Chulalongkorn University tree used in the Chiba University research. The Rifat Clone has a reputation for being especially strong, and is the most widely available clone outside of Asia.
