Cedarwood oil was possibly the first essential oil to be extracted from a plant and was used by the Egyptians to cleanse their temples, as well as an ingredient for cosmetics. It is astringent and recommended for oily skin or acne. It is also regulating and balancing, and often used for nervous tension, anxiety, insomnia, stress, respiratory congestion, and to enhance concentration.
